Mud Cleaner Combined with Desander, Desilter and Underset Shale Shaker

In the solids control system, there is a commonly used equipment which is called mud cleaner (or drilling fluids cleaner). Mud cleaner is always used as the second and third class solids control equipment. Why just only one mud cleaner could take the charge of 2 classes. All that depends on the components, for mud cleaner combines desander cones, desilter cones and an underset shale shaker together.

Desander could be used as one independent equipment – the second solids control system in well drilling, while in the mud cleaner, the desander cones functioned as the desander. In generally condition, one mud cleaner contains 1-3 desander cones, and the size of desander cones is usually classified to 8″,10″ and 12″ (10″ is used most widely,its treating capacity range from 400 GPM to 528 GPM).

When it comes to the desilter cones, the 4″ cones is used mostly. You can install 4 to 20 cones according to your requirement. The treating capacity of each cones is 50-70 GPM. The desander cones is used to separate the particles of 47-76 Microns, and the desilter cones could separate the particles with the size of 15-47 microns. The underflow spurted from the cones will be discarded or directed onto the underset shale shaker for further processing.
