The mud gun consists of steel pipe and flange, the valves including high pressure or low pressure, and the rotary. The mud gun is simple in design and structure. Usually all turning takes place on double rows of steel balls in flame hardened races. There is nothing to tighten or adjust. Flow is unrestricted and pressure drop is minimum.
How to calculate the mud gun quantity in a mud tank?
You can calculate the qty according to the tank length, for example, if a 39.3ft length mud tank, 4ea mud gun is the best way. You can also calculate it according to mud agitator qty, and the rest room leaved by the other equipments.
Where does the pressure of the mud gun come from ?
For high pressure mud gun, the pressure comes from mud pump. For lower pressure mud gun, the pressure comes from mixing pump, it can mix and transfer drilling mud to another tank.At present, OGEM can produce 2” and 3” mud gun, both of them with 3 nozzles, it can be made into manual rotary type or fixed type, it is optional.
