One our clients purchased the LW553VFD centrifuge for removing LGS to reduce the dilution requirements and the treatment cost. They use our centrifuge to processes a variety of oil-based mud.they has a mud plant and the drilling fluids sent to the mud plant contains lots of drilled solids. So they need a solution for remove the solids. The primary method of the treatment is to leave the solids in the fluid and dilute with fresh water to reduce the LGS concentration. However this method is very expensive and generate excess fluid volume. So when this client come to us for solution. We recommended them to use our big bowl decanter centrifuge LW553VFD.

There are a number of factors which affect the separating ability of a centrifuge. The main factors is
centrifugal force.It is one of the most important parameter of decanter centrifuge.The G-force is defined as the multiple of the graitational constant that is obtained in the centrifuge. A larger decanter running at the same G-force as a smaller one will give better separation. It means that when comparing two centrifuges of different diameters but similar bowl speeds, the larger unit will generate more G-force and can be expected to provide better separation. This is of particular importance when dealing with ultra fine solids, or the separation of liquid phase with similar densities.
