Solids Control is a technique used in drilling rig to separate the solids in the drilling mud. Normally solids control system is consist of shale shaker,desander,desilter,centrifuge. desander and desilter are hydrocyclones which has different cone size varying from 12” to 2”. Hydrocyclone is a very important part in solids control system. because hydrocyclone can remove particles smaller than the finest mesh screens efficiently. they are simple mechanical and simple devices,with out moving parts,which make them are easy use and maintain.
In essence, Hydrocyclone is a miniature settling pit which speed up the setting process of solids under controller conditions.

A hydrocyclone consist of a conical shell with a small opening at the bottom for the underflow discharge, a larger opening at the top for liquid discharge through an internal ” vortex finder” and a feed nozzle on the side of the body ner the wide end of the cone. OGEM polyurethane hydrocyclnes offer operators with treating capacity from 60 GPM to 500 GPM. the feeding of OGEM Polyurethane Hydrocyclone is tangentially blended into the cone entry as a narrow rectangle. This design minimizes turbulence in the upper section of the cone,allowing the solids to move quickly to the cone wall. The cone is divided into three easy to replace sections which are held together by non-corrosive stainless steel clamps.The joints between each sections are metal reinforced.

OGEM Solids Control is the first API certifed Solids Control Equipment manufacturer in China. OGEM polyurethane hydrocyclone are interchangeable with Derrick hydrocyclone.
