OGEM Drilling Decanter Centrifuge Working Principle and Operation

Decanter centrifuge is the fourth phase solids control equipments. It is set behind the mud cleaner and desilter cleaner, using the principle of centrifugal action to separate the solid particles of 2-7μm from the drilling fluids. According to different speed we have middle speed decanting centrifuge, high speed decanting centrifuge and high speed variable frequency decanting centrifuge.
OGEM Decanter Centrifuge Working Principle:
A drilling decanter centrifuge works on the principle of accelerated settling. By imparting additional G-forces to the content of a centrifuge, solids ( in a solids-laden fluid ) will settle much faster. To understand how a decanting centrifuge works after desilter, first look at a simple sedimentation vessel. Solids in this fluids will settle at the bottom of the vessel over a period of time. One way to speed up the process of settling is to reduce the height of the vessel, so the solids do not have as far to drop. If a specific volume is required, the vessels dimensions can be lengthened or widened. Depending on the rheological properties of the fluids and the size and density of the solids, settling time can still prove quite slow.

Operation
1. All safety protection guards shall be installed before starting up. It is forbidden to open the guards of decanter centrifuge to observe the running state of the machines.
2. During the operation of the decanter centrifuge, touch to moving parts and rotation parts should be avoided.
3. It is forbidden to brake in any way before the decanter centrifuge is stopped.
4. If there is abnormal noise and vibration, close down decanter centrifuge immediately and make troubleshooting.
5 It is forbidden to have the decanter centrifuge running at the rotating speed out of active speed that indicated in the instruction and nameplate.
6.Only after power is cut off can electrical devices be wired or plugged/unplugged.
