1.Application
Gases are entrained in drilling fluids from the wellbore during normal drilling operation as well as during "kick"or well control situations,these gases present safety hazards and create operational problems,in case of the prescence of hazardous gases,it's desirable to localize the point where gas is released from the mud by installing a vacuum degasser.
2.The technological process of vacuum degasser system
This system consist of vacuum degasser ,firstly and secondly steam injection pump,condenser etc,water will be heat to about 40 degree in the raw water tank.and then ,crossing the masculine replacement to remove the positive ions,PH=2 ,around acidic water will be introduced to vacuum degasser upside.which go through the package from the top to bottom to get rid of rest of gas.The stream will drag out gas from the vacuum degasser through stream- jet pump,and in the condenser,which condensate the stream one step jet-pump before to liquid in order to lighten work burden of next jet-pump.
3.Vacuum degasser carbon removal principle and its function
Henry's law points out that when it’s dynamic balance between gas dissolves in the water and exported gas in that ,the unit volume of dissolved in water amount of gas is directly proportional to the partial pressure of the gas and water.Gas flow dissolved in water is proportional to the partial pressure of the gas on the water surface in each unit volume.
Dalton's law points out that total press of mix gas is equal to sum of partial pressure of the gas.After the raw water cross the cation exchanger,the water become acidic, average PH=2 ,The HCO-3 of the water will react as following:H++HCO-3=CO2+H2O.According to water quality analysis report of the first quarter of 2003 ,the content of HCO-3 is 3.4mg/L in the raw water.and crossing the cation exchanger,produced free CO2 up to 150mg/L.
The principle of Vacuum degasser is based on above the two laws,powered by stream ,using aspirator smoke the air to certain vacuum degree,which can make acidic water boiled in normal temperature .which can remove the dissolved CO2 and O2 in the water in order to reduce the burden of anion exchanger.
