Working Principle of OGEM Oilfield Mud Agitator

The mud agitator is used for balance drilling fluid characteristics and make the solid particles floated, and make a reliable and constant control for the drilling fluid solid control system.

Mud Agitator is used in surface drilling mud systems to suspend solids and maintain homogeneous mixture throughout the system. A mechanical agitator is driven by an explosion-proof motor, coupled to a gear box that drives the impeller shaft. The impellers (turbines) transform mechanical power into fluid circulation or agitation. It mainly used for drilling fluid mud agitator, to avoid sediment of the solid particles in the tank circulation system, and make the drilling fluid performance stable and mix even.  The objective is to obtain a uniform suspension of all solids.

The Structure of OGEM Mud Agitator

The mud agitator is made up by the Explosion-Proof Motor, Reducer, frame and impeller components, motor and reducer, the reducer and impeller axis connected with the rigid coupling, and the impeller made up by four impellers.

Working Principle of OGEM Mud Agitator

The impeller can make the drilling fluid do vortex movement, therefore the stirring effect will be enlarged. The plate between impellers can prevent deposition of solid phases around the bottom impeller, therefore, it can reduce the resistance comment effect which is made by the deposition to the impellers when turn on the machine to avoid the burn out of motor.
