The basic requirements of oilfield solids control equipment maintenance

Solids control is a technique used in drilling rig to separate the solids in the drilling fluids that are crushed by the drill bits and carried out of the well surface. Normally solid control system is consist of five stages, including shale shaker desander desilter decanter centrifuge centrifuge centrifugal pump mud cleaner vacuum degasser Hydrocyclone cone mud agitator flare igniter submersible slurry pump mud tank mud gas separator Jet Mud Mixer mud mixing pump mud gun screw pump Shale Shaker Screen shearing pump Vertical Cutting Dryer. Shale shaker is used to separate the big solids with diameter above 75μm, and 45~74μm for desander, and 15~44μm for desilter. Sometimes desander desilter are combined as high efficient mud cleaner. When air enters into the drilling fluids, vacuum degasser is used to separate the air. If no air in the mud, the degasser would work as a big agitator. All these equipments are mounted on the top of the mud tank. After separating the solids, the clean mud would be pumped into the borehole again.

The basic requirements of solids control equipment maintenance
1. Storage the solids control equipment in specific position
2. Maintenance first and then put in to storage when problem happened to solids control equipment.
3. Make sure all the unused solids control equipment in well maintenance before put into storage.
4. Cover the top and fill up the bottom for dust prevention and dampproof.
5. Regular check and maintenance are needed while being storage.
6. Make sure centrifugal pumps clean and aridness without oil and drilling fluids in it

5,dismantle and clean all the pipelines connecting mud tanks, then put the large ones into tanks, while small ones into packing case.

Oilfield drilling mud conditioner,mud cleaner

One use of oilfield mud conditioners that has been very profitable has been in oilfield drilling operations. Oilfield mud conditioners are normally positioned in the same location as oilfield desilters and oilfield drilling fluids desanders in a drilling fluids system. Frequently, the desilter or hydrocyclones are used in the unweighed portion of a borehole by diverting the underflow away from the mud tanks. When a weighing agent,barite or hematite, is added to the drilling fluids system, screens are placed on the oilfield drilling mud conditioner shakers. Solids discarded from the hydrocyclones are sieved to discard solids mostly larger than barite and return solids smaller than the screen size with most the liquid phase.

Oilfield mud conditioners of OGEM
OGEM MD series high effective oilfield drilling mud conditioner is the second or third stage separation equipment of drilling liquid, which will handle the solids particle after being treated by the first grade separation equipment. The mud will be recovered and cuttings which are bigger than mud will be removed. Then the cuttings in the underflow will flow into circulation tanks through the screens when the weighted mud passes while the particles that are bigger than mesh will be removed.
Oilfield drilling mud conditioners features:

The drilling mud vacuum degasser

As the second class purification solids control equipment for oilfield drilling fluids, vacuum degasser actually is used to remove little invaded gas in drilling mud. It will be set between shale shaker and mud cleaner/desander.

Installing before drilling

After using
After use we must discharge the water in the pump or gas water separator.
