Mud cleaner manufactured for Malaysia Oil drilling company

What is my feeling about that? Firstly, I’d like introduce some original story about the whole thing.Just couples of weeks ago, my colleague concluded one order about Mud cleaner AJQ603. The mud cleaner was designed for an Malaysia petroleum drilling company
They requested the mud cleaner holds treating capacity as 240m3/h. In order to cater for the requriements we designed as following:
2x 10″ desander cone and 12x 4″ desilter cone;                                                                                      We use 200 mesh Brandt Cobra shale shaker screen;                                                                        Total screen area is 2.4m2(25.8 ft2), 3pcs Rigid Frame PT Panel fine shaker screens;                Vibration motor: 2×1.5kw Italy Oli vibration motor.                                                                                        It is Quick Release Hammer which is used wedges to fix the screen.                                                     High “G” force motor: ≤7.0G.

From the communication beginning to the conclusion. My colleague took only 3 weeks. The clients appreciated her and our company design. And he is satified with our professional ability and experience.
Of course, the petroleum drilling company is not our first client in Malaysia. So he is also happy and trusting our reliability and quality.

How does the mud distributor work?

Mud distributor to multiple downstream shale shakers. Positive sealing weir gates are removable, allowing flow per selected shale shaker or installed omitting flow. The drilling mud distributor eliminates the need for back tanks and shaker bypasses and minimizes the effect of pitch and heave.

Mud from the mud distributor the rear of the drilling mud distributor (1) where it contacts a baffle box (2) allowing the flow to pass under and sometimes over before it flows over the weirs (3), and divides the liquid and solids equally between the desired number of shale shaker feed ports (4). Positive-sealing weir gates permit flow to the downstream shale shakers

Mud gun on ZJ oil rig system

Simple introduction on mud gun
The mud gun also can be called Mud mixing gun. As we know it is usually used along with mud agitator as mixers for ZJ oil rig system.
The mud gun is consisted by main construction by steel pipe and flange, the valves including high pressure or low pressure, and the rotary.
And the different ZJ oil rigs have different mud system, such as difference on treating capacity, difference on mud tank capacity, difference on mud properties, ect. Then mud guns should hold relative height, etc.


The mud gun is simple in design or structure. Usually all turning takes place on double rows of steel balls in flame hardened races. There is nothing to tighten or adjust. Flow is unrestricted and pressure drop is minimum.




Mud gun types in OGEM Solids Control 
I. Divided by pressure. There will be high pressure and normal pressure
II. Divided by rotary type. There will be with manual rotary or fixed type
III. Divided by diameter. There will be NJQ50 and NJQ80
IV. Divided by nozzle number. There will be single one and triple one, etc.

Mud gun on ZJ oil rig system
Mud gun in solids control system for ZJ oil rig. As we said, it will be used together with mud mixers. And the mud resources to mud gun is given by mud pump in oil rig. The mud gun can mix or spray mud to dead angles. This will make mud more even and better effect than mud agitator.
Moreover, the mud guns on ZJ oil rig system also have normal pressure and high pressure. This is according to client’s demand. Different oil rig will request relative mud gun.

Mud conditioner is Mud cleaner used in drilling fluids processing during Petroleum, O&G, HDD, etc well drilling.

Typically, multiple desander cones (12 in or 10 in) and desilter cones (4 in) are mounted above the screen deck of a shale shaker. The size of the solids (in microns) removed by these units is directly correlated to the size of the cone. The larger the cone, the larger the size of the particle removed and vice-versa. The mud is fed first through the hydrocyclones, where it subsequently cascades down over the shale shaker. The remaining solids, including barite, are returned to the mud system.

Consequently, the mud conditioner is used in this application to de-sand the mud until the primary shakers are capable of maintaining the sand content of the mud to a trace. The secondary use of a mud conditioner occurs when environmental conditions prohibit the use of a reserve pit. The mud conditioner is used to reclaim the liquid from the hydrocyclone unders during the unweighted hole section.

Mud conditioners were first designed to remove fine drilled solids from weighted muds without excessive loss of barite and fluid. Their primary purpose now is to de-sand weighted muds. Due to advancements in fine screening at the flowline, the mud conditioner's use in the weighted hole section is much more limited than in previous decades.

Vibration Motor for Shale Shaker

The shale shaker is the first grade of solids control equipment in drilling purification system. It can remove cuttings above 75μm brought from the drilling well and the liquid with smaller particles will flow into tanks from where the fluid will flow into next grade solids control equipment to be treated.

Sifting bed structure
OGEM screen basket is of weld components and vibration motor & screen plate base are installed on screen box by parts. Screen basket locates on the adjustment beam and there are bumper springs in four corners near the screen box, which can avoid the screen basket vibrating effect on parts & devices in the neighborhood. There are three or four screen panels on the enough strength for screen basket.

The middle part of screen basket is higher than two sides transversely and the bulging arch the screen can be tensioned more easily and the screen life and efficiency of removing solids particles can be improved as the work proceeds.
AWD angle adjustment system
The angle adjustment system while drilling, AWD for short, can raise or lower the screen basket end during the work. This part includes two vertical column assemblies that are connected on the upper column assembly and are attached to the shaker base.
The movable part of AWD consists of the lower column,limit device that controls vertical movement and hydro jack that drives the upward & downward movement of the screen basket. The fixed ends of jack are connected in upper column assemblies and the movable piston bar is fixed in the lower column assembly. Reciprocately pulling the operating grip of the hand pump or starting the oil return valve of the hand pump can make the screen basket move upward and downward respectively. The screen basket can be adjusted within -1°~+5°. Fix and lock the elevator with clamp pin at the suitable angle, which can reduce the attack on the hydraulic pump when the basket is running at this angle.

Feeder:
The mud treated by other equipment or mud that returns from well will flow into the shale shaker through feeder tanks which has a buffer effect on the drilling fluid and can make the mud flow onto the screen equably .This can reduce the mud attack to the screen and increase screen work life and mud treatment efficiency. Meanwhile there is a square cover on the tank top and from here we can test the mud performance.

Vibration Motor
It boasts of the features of stronger vibrating strength, higher reliability and easier maintenance. The exciting force is generated by eccentric rotor and the exciting force of single motor can reach 38kN. Suitable ambient temperature is : -40℃~150℃.

The Economy of Linear Motion:
OGEM linear motion shale shaker is especially effective while drilling top-hole sections where heavy and high-volume solids are usually encountered. In these intervals, shakers need generate high G-forces to effectively move dense solids across the screens, cuttings above 75μm can be brought from well.

OGEM provides a complete set of low temperature solids control system of 50D rig for Kazakhstan

Following the successful provision of two sets of solids control systems of 70D rig for Sino-Kazakhstan Great Wall Drilling Company, Xi'an Kosun Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. provides a complete set of low temperature solids control system of 50D rig for a certain project of Sino-Kazakhstan Great Wall Drilling Company in Kazakhstan again in June 2013. By June 15, all solids control equipment have been delivered to Lanzhou Petroleum & Chemical Machinery Works under National Oilwell Varco (NOV) for assembling with the rig.

According to the requirements of Kazakhstan, the complete set of low temperature solids control system of 50D rig must be adapted to the low temperature working condition at minus 40oC. For this project, Kosun provides the low temperature solids control system, including: high-G linear shale shaker, centrifuge, desander, desilter,efficient mud cleaner, vacuum degasser, wellsite standardized circuit, diesel tank, water tank, MCC room, etc.
